Melbourne Cup 2016: The Horse with the Most Winning attributes is…

Hi Folks,

In my last post, I shared how I was able to analyse past win results – to develop a profile of a winning Melbourne cup horse.

As promised, I have now matched that winning history to the actual attributes of this years field. As you would expect, no single horse matched all of the winning attributes exactly. I did note that Barrier 11 and Number 6 horses are first and second favourites. However, I always prefer to invest in a ‘roughy’ – so by using the highlight action in my Winners History dashboard I came up with a horse that looked the goods in plenty of other dimensions – not least the Trainer/Jockey combination.

I’m going to back 5. Exospheric.
